4 months ago'Twas long ago, my last visit to this blessed place (early 90's), though every time think back to it, have a smile on my face and a song or two in my heart. Was worth the drive up from Maine to just be there, soaking in the live music on the weekends and enjoying the conversations with dear old friends, that you just met. At one point, copies of a few of the poems I wrote there, on bar napkins, used to hang on the wall. While I live in the west, now, and no longer drink spirits, if I am ever back Montreal way, will stop in again, and hope to make some new fond memories to add to those of before.

a year agoOur server was really friendly and the vibes were nice! Can become quite loud inside as any place with alcohol is. Definitely would visit again! And btw I don't think you have to wait until being seated she just told us to sit anywhere we wanted :)

a year agoThe food is classic pub food but quite decent. The atmosphere is charming and the waiters super cool. We went for comedy night and it was cozy and fun. Cobb salad was ok, the sweet potato fries were a massive bucket with curry mayo sauce that was yummy. The smoked meat sandwich was small but good. Would go again for drinks and entertainment :)

3 months agoGreat food, great energy, very authentically Irish. First Irish bar I’ve seen with a real hurl up on the wall (if you don’t know what that is look up hurling, crazy sport) which is great to see! Watched the Ireland Hungary game here and when Parrot’s goal went in we all meant mental. Amazing atmosphere and the bar staff are all very friendly sound people. Highly recommend!

a month agoDefinitely top tier in Montreal. Highly recommended for Irish pub lovers and of course á go to spot for st paddy’s. Great staff, honestly every single bartend who’s ever served me there is a gem 💎. I do have to shoutout Turbo absolute legend. Special mention to Sara , Arnesh, Lina and Taylor; all staff that used to work there and were the reason that I got to know the bar and helped me cherish my moments there. 🍻 💚🤍🧡

2 weeks agoI didn't eat anything but barley sandwiches so I can't rate the grub but I rolled in off the street after a Nine Inch Nails concert. I'm from Saskatchewan and just needed and after show drink, quickly warmed up to other show goers and the great servers and bartenders. I know I'll be back for more amazing shows there and now I know where to visit afterwards. Would recommend!!

3 weeks agoI absolutely love Hurley‘s. Such a tremendous selection of beer, as well as a pretty good selection of whiskeys particularly those from Ireland. There are multiple rooms throughout so you can always find a place that suits your needs, whether you want to be somewhere with live music and crowded, or if you want to be in a small nook having a quiet conversation, be romantic or not. The staff are equally incredible, with people working there for decades, as well as students, some of which are pursuing Irish studies. If you’re looking for a pint and a lovely meal, excellent atmosphere and interesting patrons, this is the place to go. We will definitely be back as we have been many many times. See you then.

a month agoHurley’s is a great spot! It’s definitely my favourite pub in Montreal. They have live music, good Irish beer, and a comedy club. Btw, also check out their black velvet beer.
